Chris is my husbands personal riding horse and partner in crime :) He is DEFINATELY a crowd pleaser with his unreal trot and his soft heart. He has more than once drawn people over to our rig at a gas station on our way to trail rides with his blanket. He is the clown of our bunch, and will knock down anything in front of him in the barn. His favorite game is to push the front of the fan into the blades in order to make a REALLY awful noise in his stall....for hours on end!!! Ronnie Huckaby offered Prince to me when he began to downsize his herd in '07 (I had had a crush on Prince since the first time I saw him) Prince was a breeding stallion until early in 2007...but you would never know it! He is the perfect partner for me! I liken riding Prince to sitting in my favorite chair. He is as honest as they come, and he is so sure footed and smart! He has begun to roan this past year...his Appaloosa coloring FINALLY showing!! He and Chris have partnered up so well that if one goes the other DEMANDS to go too! Ahhhh...the geldings. Our geldings have given us so much joy these past couple of years. What can I say??? An honest gelding is GREAT for the soul. We love the broodmares, the oh so painful waiting for "what pattern will come this year", but our geldings give us our "down time"! They jump in the trailer with just a point, they ride like angels, and they are both SO sure footed on the trail. There is no "spooking", no "bucking", no morning "crow hopping"....just a "yeah boss...lets go!"...please enjoy the pics of our much loved Prince and Chris!!!
